Step 1

Make an appointment: Making an appointment is quick and easy! We offer two options for our initial meeting. A complimentary virtual 15 minute meeting or a meeting in your home (fee applies). We want to get to know you and your project and you'll want to get to know us, too, so this is a good meeting to discover our dynamic.

Prior to a virtual appointment, we will ask for 2-4 photos of the space. For in-person or virtual appointments, if you have inspirational pictures, feel free to email them to us prior to your appointment as well, so we have an idea of your vision.

Step 2

Meet with Us: During our meeting, we'll discuss your ideas, needs and take a look at the space you had in mind. We will also ask for an idea of the level of investment you're wanting to put towards the project. This keeps us all on the same page and gives us an idea of where we can splurge and what areas we may need to save.

Please do not expect an exact verbal estimate. We give a ballpark range because it takes time to consider all factors of your project and put together a proper proposal. An exact verbal estimate wouldn't be fair to you, or us. A ballpark estimated price range, which could fluctuate due to the finer details, such as design finishes and market prices.

Step 3
The Design Phase:  If the ballpark is what you had in mind, we will move to the next phase, which includes a more exact estimate. There is a fee associated with this step, which gets rolled into your project, should you choose us as your contractor.

This step will include an exact estimate for your project, a detailed scope of work and if needed a design packet including renderings will be incorporated. The design packet will give you a better visual of what the finished space and materials will look like. We spend more time putting this package together, so it does take additional turnaround time. During this process, we work behind the scenes gathering information from any subcontractors, material bids, design and design finishes. The price for this consultation will vary based upon project size. For larger projects, such as additions or new construction, our turnaround time may be longer than smaller projects.

If you have any questions regarding your bid package, feel free to contact us! We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have and/or review the package with you.

Step 4

The Contract Phase: During this phase, you can expect to see the details that we provided in the Design Phase in a formal contract. We provide an approximate start date as well as approximate time to complete and a pay schedule so you can plan your finances accordingly.

Step 5

The Project Phase: Our contracts have an estimated overall project time. Fluctuation may occur and will be clearly communicated to you because we know the importance of your time and schedule. All projects are completed in compliance with Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC). All permits are pulled by us. While work is in progress, the project site may not be the cleanest, however at the end of each day, we clean the area from tools and debris. If anything is not to your satisfaction, let us know immediately. Communication is key to a healthy relationship.
